New mothers are sometimes faced with the challenge of establishing a good breastfeeding relationship with their new baby. An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant can assist during breastfeeding and answer the many questions that arise. A personalized consultation in hospital or at home will prepare and assist the new mother and baby in their breastfeeding relationship.
Lactation Consultant Services focus upon
• education and preparation for breastfeeding
• breastfeeding difficulties and complications (flat or inverted nipples, breast engorgement, sore or cracked nipples, slow weight gain, premature baby)
• breastfeeding devices such as breast-pumps, supplemental nursing systems
When having difficulties, or to ensure difficulties don't arise, call us promptly to arrange a visit from one of our Certified Lactation Consultants.
Lactation Consultant Services are $70.00 per hour of service with a minimum 2 hour charge. for a home visit or $70 per hour for an office visit.
